Tylney Hall

I just had a weekend away at Tylney Hall Hotel. The hotel is a Grade II Listed building in 66 acres of lovely countryside in Hampshire. The entrance is tree lined with enormous Redwood trees that are obviously very old.

Through its history Tynley Hall has served a number of purposes, including a school from 1948 to 1984. It reopened in October 1985 as a hotel and restaurant after a major refurbishment.

The Italian lounge is a splendidly restored period room with marble fireplaces and period furnishings and its crowning glory is the spectacular ceiling which was imported piece by piece from the Grimani Palace in Venice.
