WHO IS ANTHONY LANE?
"I am Dublin born and I started my hairdressing career as an apprentice to Justin De Villeneuve, who later became Twiggy’s Manager. As his junior I also worked at weekends on fashion photograph sessions which was right down my street as I have a big interest in fashion. In those heady late sixties times Kings Road was the fashion capital of the World.
I went on to work at Vidal Sassoon’s salon which was a life enriching experience.
I ran my own Salon, Shearing for 28 years and now I freelance.
I continued to work on fashion shoots and organised and promoted several charity shows featuring hair, make up, dance and fashion and raised a lot of money for Breast Cancer Research, amongst other charities.
As a freelance photographer I had the privilege of working with the Royal Ballet in London and the Birmingham Royal Ballet."
