Cheltenham

I went to Cheltenham in February, my first time there, it is a lovely place. The town is known for its Regency architecture, most of the buildings being Listed, its good restaurants and art galleries. I went to two art galleries, one was Whitehall Galleries and the other Castle Fine Art which was hosting a collection of Bob Dylan art.  I can highly recommend restaurants Lumiere and Brasserie Blanc.  I also went to the Well Walk Tea Room and Antique Shop which holds the title of the oldest shop in Cheltenham, having been built in the 1790s.

I also went to the cinema to see the live broadcast from Covent Garden of Dances at a Gathering and The Cellist. To see talented dancers express emotions and the story through movement is an experience like no other.  The Cellist is a new ballet telling the story of Jacqueline Du Pre, the gifted young cellist whose career and life were cut short by Multiple Sclerosis. The part of Jacqueline was played by Lauren Cuthbertson and the instrument by Marcelino Sambe, Principal Dancer at the Royal Ballet.

My next holiday will be in April so I am working on Wednesday 15th April and then back in the shop on 24th April.
