Shire Horses

I visited the Dorset Heavy Horse Farm and enjoyed it as I love Shire horses. Most of the horses at the farm were very old and rescued animals. Shire horses are a rare breed and as their useful days are over because they are no longer used for working on the farms they are dying out as a breed. We had a 20 minute talk and it was fairly interesting.

Anyone with children would enjoy the visit more as they had several farm animals and rides. The alpacas were fun. 

I have visited the Guildford Fair in the past and they usually have more Shire horses on display which are more interesting.
