Clifton Suspension Bridge

Recently I visited Bristol. It was the weekend of the hot air balloon festival and I was hoping to photograph the balloons over the Clifton suspension bridge but because of the weather they didn’t go up.

The Clifton suspension bridge spans the Avon Gorge and the River Avon and it links Clifton to Bristol. Since its opening in 1864 it has been toll bridge and the income provides fund for its maintenance. There is a large picnic area around the bridge with spectacular views in all directions.

It is a lovely bridge to photograph but would have been better with some hot air balloons.
